This is a year where CCG faithfuls experienced a minor “culture shock” when we introduced the pre-match rituals. Token of friendship were exchanged through simple gestures such as mass huddling, gifts exchange, handshakes or hi-five which break the ice amongst participating teams and eventually paved the way for more interaction during the Games. These rituals were part of the process to remind individuals to partake in the spirit of the Games at all times - Beyond Competition – Community through Sports. It was part of the education process to remind each participant to partake in the spirit of the Games at all times.
Another milestone was the launch of our in-house newsletter – CORPUS. This is our first step in establishing frequent communication via a formal channel with corporations to share with them on what's happening at CCG and sharing topics of interest with them. For a community to grow, individuals must share common understanding, beliefs and rituals that would bind people together. The sports rituals were the first step towards harnessing our togetherness as a corporate community.
