The year unfolded with the meeting of participating companies at the first-ever CCG Forum in early March. It was a learning experience for HR and recreation club personnel whom came forth to collectively share their vision for a collective corporate community and explore new programmes for cross-industries participation and bonding beyond just sports competition. Team Leaders also had the opportunity to share and exchange tips in preparation for the Games and garnering greater support within the company during the pre-games Team Leaders' Gathering.

In all, a total of 338 participating teams from 59 companies congregated on 23 & 24 July for the annual Games. Traditions of empowerment and sports rituals that were set in previous years continued this year and helped to renew ties of friendship once again. The highlight of the CCG 2005 – Sports Weekend was the Opening Ceremony which took place at School of Physical Education. It was an occasion that gathered many Top Management Representatives from participating companies who joined in this community celebration and gave their moral support for the teams. It was a collective experience which many participants played a part in making it come true – a shared memory that many would remember by. In all, a total of 285 medallists were honoured for their outstanding performance together with 4 corporations that clinched the Championship Division Award for their overall team performance in the Games.
