With 69 companies and 427 participating teams, the month-long CCG activities kicked off in July with the Team Leaders' Gathering. The annual meeting created an opportunity for Team Leaders to share their experience in participation and internal preparation for the Games. It was also happy occasion as we welcomed 17 newly joined companies into the family of CCG.
The Art Jam programme saw an increased participation to 37 teams from 24 teams in year 2006. It created an avenue for individuals who are not sports inclined to have the opportunity to participate in this community platform, coming together to share a common vision through creating collective art with paints and colours!
With the Games traditions of captains' armbands exchange, gift exchange, mass hi-fives and mass huddles, participants extended their well wishes to other fellow participants at the start of each sports event. The Team Captains' votes were critical in determining the eventual winner of the CCG Division Award. Votes were cast to recognize teams who exemplified the spirit of the Games and extended their friendship to other teams. The initiative reinforced the importance of participation in the spirit of community and friendship.
This annual gathering of companies saw new friendships being built and old ties fostered yet once again. As we reflect on our participation for the year, we hope that taking part in the Games has brought you and your fellow team closer together in one way or another....
