Build a Community in your Workplace with CCG programmes
Build a solid relationship infrastructure that gives your people a competitive advantage so they may share knowledge, learn from one another and benefit from a warm workplace environment.
| 1. | Learn to embrace our common humanity As a starting point, we all need to identify that we are strong and weak in different areas. As such, we must depend on one another to survive and thrive in this world. While we may be able to feel empathy for humankind in general, we often are not able to put down small differences with the people we work and live with. Therefore, we need to start from areas other than work; aspects of life that enrich our being. |
| 2. | Build teams in a secure environment CCG programmes in Sports, Arts and Gatherings create a stable and safe environment for companies to build teams from within business units and from cross-function divisions. There is room for personal growth as well as improvement in group communication and morale as teams build on their talent and interests over the years. As the programmes provide level grounds for all teams, companies are encouraged to set their own goals for their teams. Mature teams should aim to better their own results year after year and even aim for top places and therefore should be given priority to be entered for the programmes; however there should also always be space for new teams to be formed for organic growth and interaction to be effected throughout your company. |
| 3. | Provide variety to cater to different needs People have different needs and motivations; variety means increased opportunities and likelihood for more people to join in. At the same time, programmes in different areas means more well-rounded development of the individual, team and company. Encourage everyone in the company to join at least one Sports and one Arts programme. |
| 4. | Build commitment and enthusiasm For a successful programme to take place and to reap teambuilding and community bonding, all stakeholders must play an active and involved part. CCG programmes are designed for companies to actively engage by removing the technical difficulties faced in organizing programmes; and by appointing key personnel to play different roles to engage from Top-down and bottom-up, engagement becomes the key focus for the company, within the company and across industries and sectors with the corporate community. |
| 5. | Celebrate Achievements Each programme completion is a milestone and teams deserve commendation for participation. Companies need to recognize and help the teams recognize that no matter the outcome, the experience provided learning opportunities and intangible achievements worthy of celebration. Winning becomes an added bonus. |
| 6. | Continue to Engage Encourage teams to continue their activities after the programme and support them where possible. This not only gives them confidence to push for better results in the coming years as an individual and as a team, the company also reaps benefits of strong relationships. |
Further suggestions can be found for each programme under the sections "How to create internal engagement" and "Community".
