The corporate community is a very important sector of society playing the role of change agent. Business is about serving human needs, by people for people, and as such directly or indirectly decide the way we live. With human life revolving around economic activities and decisions, it takes a sound and responsible corporate community to build a sustainable society.

Therefore, it calls for a platform to be built; to bring together working adults from different like-minded organizations, to harness the human spirit and create harmonious relationships so that collectively as we share our resources and put energy into initiatives we believe in, we can look after our own well-being and create meaningful living which are inclusive and engaging for all. This will definitely create a positive impact in the society.

Initiated by East West Cultural Development Centre (EWCDC), Corporate Community Games (CCG) is a not-for-profit platform created in year 2000 to answer this call, and to date over 200 organizations have come forward with their support.

Tools - Sports, Arts and Gatherings
In the natural selection process, people hope to find naturalness, space for personality development and authenticity, all of which is subsumed by the demands of an economic-driven society; resulting in tension in everyday life for the urban working class. CCG programmes aim to create opportunities for working adults to find that space and provide outlets to expend our innate creative abilities to ease the natural tension; through direct involvement programmes in areas of Sports, Arts and Gatherings that appeal to the body, heart and mind of the working adults. This adds a social element and psychological dimension for the working adults to identify work with life, cultivates and manifests the feeling of connection and togetherness within and among corporations, across industries and beyond business network. This culture of shared experience will bond and strengthen the individuals and community as a whole, bringing about positive influence in the society.

Element of Play
Playing is crucial to our mental creativity, health and happiness. As we play together, we remove our social inhibitions; unburdened by consciousness or self-consciousness, we are caught in joyful activity. In play, there is open communication and sharing; we also organically assume different roles in a group, whichever helps us win or more importantly make the whole process fun. Thus, we easily connect with people and forge new friendships and learn new ways to collaborate. Play is a childlike sophistication that brings the corporate community to life.

Spirited Partaking
Rituals and Ceremonies are used in every part of our lives; it is the little action that starts us on the right note, an important act that confers on us strength and confidence, an affirmative show of human solidarity; it comes in all shapes and forms for many different purposes. Rituals and Ceremonies play a central role in all CCG programmes, to highlight and emphasize empowerment of leadership and confidence, strengthen the sense of connectedness that bond people together as a community and also heighten spiritual awareness and strength from a shared experience. Rituals and Ceremonies help to highlight the importance of two aspects of the corporate community – its collective strength and the significance of its individual members.
